David
Leigh has been an Organisational Consultant, Coach and Mentor for
over 20 years and during this time he has worked closely with organisations
nationally and internationally to help individuals and organisations
achieve optimum performance
David’s special interests are in designing, delivering and
facilitating programmes on business transformation, leadership and
management.
He initially gained experience in management and training in Central
Government before following his own personal development programme
by becoming a law student and qualifying as a barrister.
It was while he was at the Criminal Bar that he ran a series of
workshops for leading businesses on effective case presentation.
The success of these programmes led David to becoming a freelance
consultant. So that today he is an international author, speaker,
coach and consultant.
He has written a number of books including The Group Trainer’s
Handbook which has been published in the UK by Kogan Page and in
the US by Pfeiffer .It has also been translated and published in
Russian and Spanish. His book on Interviewing Techniques was recently
published in Hungarian for the East European Market
David enjoys the diversity that Consulting provides and this is
reflected in the variety of his assignments and the wide range of
businesses he has worked with.
A sample of specifically commissioned projects includes:-
• A local government programme designed to identify the drivers
and inhibitors of change within the Council and to create a strategy
for Heads of Service and Senior Management to implement throughout
the authority.
• Working alongside the organisations’ own team to coach
and develop a client relationship programme aimed at high net worth
individuals with personal assets exceeding £5 million.
• Developing and delivery of a series of leadership modules
created to identify the key competences necessary to sustain competitive
position in a highly volatile market.
• Providing one-to-one coaching and mentoring to Directors
and Vice Presidents required to manage sensitive performance and
development issues.
David’s blend of energy, enthusiasm and experience has been
well received at all levels of an organisation from the front line
to Chief Executive and he has helped businesses as diverse as Bankers
in Zurich, Oil Engineers in Aberdeen and Beefeaters at the Tower
of London.
A cross section of clients include: Lehman Brothers, HSBC, Societe
General, Nottingham Borough Council, Camden & Islington PCT,
BP, British Airways, Microsoft, Pepsico, Revlon International, and
Historic Royal Palaces.
